Types of Masts and their weight schedule

Different types of masts are used in TRD. Out of these, most common mast's weight schedules are as follows:-

RSJ :- 507.205

BFB ( 6"x6") :- 361.285

  1. The Normal Implantation Has been Changed from 2.5 Mtrs to 2.9 Mtrs now in an electrified Zone IIly The Obligatory mast for a turn out of 1 in 12 & 1in 16 for selection of the obligatory mast is also Changes which may be Incorporated

  2. Why is it necessary to have separate mast to support each track.Support to Cantenary wire and contact wire can be provided from Central support to either side of track.
    Egyptian railway is doing this.
